Nice to be Remembered

10 years after retirement it's nice to get this in the mail.
Once a teacher always a teacher.
This was an incredible recognition for doing what I love. One full week of wine and dine in Washington DC culminating with a formal dinner at the State Department.

Jim is flying north to deliver this sweet little ride to its new owner. We sure had some great adventures with her.

Tsunami

Woke up in the middle of the night to a funny sounding warning and a voice "This is a tsunami warning move to higher ground" Took a few minutes to register but finally got going. Grabbed passports, $$, heavy coats and gear. Didn't take my knitting!! Big mistake!!
The whole town moved to the high school, churches, friends homes or up Harbor Mt. Snow covered the ground but at least it wasn't raining.
Note: Our first warning actually came from friends in Norway! !
