The Chignik seiner Shady Lady has her keel in the air Wednesday afternoon during the first opening in the Sitka Sound sac roe herring fishery. One of the hazards of netting tons of herring comes when the fish decide to dive; working together the tiny fish can capsize a boat. The Shady Lady was righted and no one was injured in the incident. The seiner did sustain damage at the beginning of the opening when it collided with the F/V Confidence. the day wasn't all bad for the Shady Lady as the crew managed to keep 150 tons if herring.
